APP DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

-Massanutten-U should to be accessible only to local college kids (JMU, EMU, BC) because that is the
target market and overall purpose of the app. It will include a portion that shows all attractions
and amenities to make new users aware of the options the resort has to offer. It will also include all
contact information, directions from each school, and basic resort information.

-Massanutten-U should allow students from any local college to request or catch a ride with anyone
already going to Massanutten. Since in the research a majority of respondents were concerned about
safety and who is driving, only students will be able to do this. Drivers can even be reviewed like on
Uber. Aside from just giving rides, the app users can offer snow sports lessons, find groups to lodge
with, and encourage others to carpool on popular days.

-Massanutten-U should offer constantly changing deals and specials on ALL of Massanutten’s
different attractions, because the research indicated that price was a big factor especially for
college students. This will also help to give attention to other areas in Massanutten other than snow
sports.

-Massanutten-U should allow students to provide live updates on resort conditions, like weather,
traffic, ski-lift lines, etc. This is because factors like weather and snow conditions influence
whether or not users would go to the resort, according to the survey.

-Massanutten-U should have a rewards system for students who regularly use the app. The more
rides you do, more friends you bring, or more time spent at Massanutten will accumulate points
which can lead to gifts and prizes offered by the app.
